RYA Powerboat Level 2

Duration: 2 Days

The Powerboat Training Centre is RYA recognised which is fully integrated into the Dabchicks Sailing Club. All successful candidates will be issued with a Coastal endorsed RYA certificate of competence.

The instructors are all members of the DSC, fully equipped and insured for the courses given and the boats used are owned by the club.

Course cost:

Members - £220 Non Members - £250 (Minimum age - 15 years old)

Terms and Conditions of booking

1. Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. 

2. Cancellations: 

By You: Refunds are given for cancellations up to 72 hours of the start date. 

By the School: If the school cancels due to weather or mechanical failure, we will offer a rescheduled date or a full refund.  

3. Health and Safety 

Medical Fitness: You must declare any medical conditions or injuries. Schools reserve the right to refuse students if a condition poses a safety risk. 

Water Confidence: You should be "water confident" or able to swim with a buoyancy aid. 

Alcohol/Drugs: There is a strict zero-tolerance policy; being under the influence will result in immediate removal without a refund.  

4. Student Responsibilities 

Age Limits: Minimum age for Level 2 is 15. Students under 18 require a parent or guardian present ashore at all times. 

Equipment Damage: You are responsible for returning borrowed gear (lifejackets, waterproofs) in good condition. You may be charged for damage caused by negligence. 

5. Certification:  Attendance does not guarantee a certificate; you must reach the RYA's required competency standard.
